Fire Weather Systems

FTS has designed, developed, deployed and serviced many different systems for different meteorological and hydrological applications throughout North America. What all of our projects have in common is the need for rock-solid reliability...equipment that needs to operate continually in extremely remote locations. No application exemplifies that need better than fire weather, which, given what's at stake (billions of dollars and people's lives), requires data accuracy and reliability far more than any other type of environmental monitoring.

FTS stays focused on complete systems. To this end we are a systems integrator, continually researching sensors and other technologies manufactured by companies worldwide. We work closely with only the best; our dedicated application engineers create integration profiles and documentation, and fully test interoperability to insure success for our customers. This win-win situation provides our partners access to our customer base, and provides our customers fully integrated solutions from a single vendor.
FTS provides weather stations for several Mexican government organizations.

Our engineering focus is motivated by finding the right solution for our customers, insuring we work closely with them to fully understand the business, and immerse ourselves in it. We develop solutions, not just tools, and we strive for unparalleled ruggedness, robustness and simplicity of use and maintenance.

As a manufacturer, we design and engineer the leading datalogger that is approved and fully supported by the NIFC Remote Sensing Fire Weather Support Unit (RSFWSU). Our G5 GOES transmitter is recognized as the most reliable GOES technology available, and is licensed for use by other environmental monitoring equipment manufacturers.

Our sales team works closely with customers in field, often providing technical support, training and providing other hands-on after-sales support. Our service division performs in-field annual maintenance on 20% of our customer’s stations. This approach ensures we maintain first-hand direct insight into our customers and the environments in which our products are being used. It also affords other benefits, such as real-world testing of new technologies before release to a wider market.
