Inside Sales Representative (Victoria, BC)

The Inside Sales Representative provides customers and sales channel partners with product information, quotations and order processing in support of the FTS Sales Team, customers and sales channel partners. This position supports the Sales team with basic quotations, order processing, customer product and shipping enquiries, weekly performance metrics on our sales channels, and sales demo equipment inventory management. This position also assists the Marketing team in planning tradeshows and other product associated events.
Customers include private land owners, and federal, provincial, municipal and state governments throughout the Americas.
You bring a college diploma in a relevant technical program or other related discipline, and three years recent sales or customer service experience. We would prefer if you have experience in sales or in an occupation related to high technology products and/or environmental monitoring.
You pride yourself on being highly energetic, and are a natural problem-solver. You are well-organized, and are ready to contribute to the Sales Team. You love high technology, and have excellent interpersonal and communications skills. You are proficient in the MS Office Suite of Applications and CRM systems. You have solid presentation skills, and wouldn’t mind a little travel; for example, to represent FTS at an annual trade show.

Production Technologist (Victoria, BC)

The ideal candidate will have demonstrated excellence in quality fabrication, integration and test of remote environmental monitoring systems. Responsibilities will include system installation, assembly, testing, troubleshooting, calibration, configuration, system integration and other related activities. Preferred skills include good manual dexterity, high reliability soldering, strong mechanical aptitude and good computer knowledge. Candidates must have good interpersonal communication skills, be a strong team player and exhibit excellent customer relation skills. A willingness to travel on short field assignments would be a distinct asset.
We will provide a comprehensive training program and give you as much responsibility as you are ready for, helping you grow into more challenging positions.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Be the primary resource for the manufacture, integration and testing of FTS products;
- Provide both hardware & software technical support to FTS customers and employees;
- Follow quality system controlled processes, complete test and job listing records within the Enterprise Resources Planning (ERP) system;
- Be willing and able to travel on field work assignments if required within North America.
- An electronics technologist qualification or equivalent, or;
- An electronics technician qualification with a minimum 5 years experience in a similar industry;
- Have a demonstrated track record of performing diligent and accurate work;
- Strong troubleshooting and problem solving skills;
- Strong understanding of computer systems and database use;
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite;
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills;
- Knowledge or training on ISO9001 based quality management systems is desirable;

Intermediate or Senior Software Engineer (Victoria, BC)

This is an exciting time in the FTS Software group as we extend our focus beyond building software that runs the Axiom Datalogger—the heart of FTS’s remote environmental monitoring platforms—to building a web-based monitoring network that will allow users to remotely manage their platforms as well as analyze in aggregate the data recorded by them. This effort will further enhance FTS’s position as a leader in the remote environment monitoring market.
The ideal candidate will be a great software engineer with several years of experience building highly reliable leading-edge products. Experience defining and documenting software architecture and working on a team using agile development methodologies are important assets. Your salary will be commensurate with the experience you bring to the team.
